Our Story

From The City to The Farm

Founded in 2016, Totes Ma Dairy Goats started with a newlywed couple and a dream for more.
Neither of us were raised on a farm or knew anything about animals. Marcella taught herself everything from books, articles, research and YouTube.
YouTube is how she learned how to milk the goats! Finding recipes online and from people she met in Facebook groups is how it all started.
Of course there is a story here but not an uncommon one. Almost like a Hallmark movie but she'd already found her partner.
High paying job in the city (San Diego) with a boss that expected too much. Marcella ran herself into the ground, literally into the hospital. She almost died twice and said that's it!
That's how we found ourselves on 11 acres in the middle of Temecula Wine Country with chickens, goats and wiener dogs!

PLEASE NOTE: We are not a commercial dairy farm. We have 8-9 does that we breed throughout the year in rotation. Typically we only have 3 goats in milk at any one time.
Do they produce a lot for a mini breed? Yes! But it also means that we work in small batches and do not make large quantities.
